The Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros breezed through Game 1 of the World Series in the blazing L.A. heat on Tuesday. It was all over in just two hours and 28 minutes - the fastest Fall Classic finish since Game 4 in 1992 between the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves, which lasted only two hours and 21 minutes.
Clayton Kershaw, Brandon Morrow, and Kenley Jansen struck out a combined 12 batters with no walks, limiting Houston to three hits.
For their part, Astros pitchers Dallas Keuchel, Brad Peacock, and Chris Devenski issued only two walks and struck out five batters in a combined 104 pitches.
