Look away, Chicago Cubs fans.

After nearly plunking Josh Bell with a pitch high and inside, Arrieta looked to be in considerable discomfort on the mound. He was immediately attended to by skipper Joe Manager and a trainer, but after being unable to follow through on a warm-up pitch, Arrieta was removed from the game.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times' Gordon Wittenmyer, the Cubs later announced that their training staff was working on Arrieta's hamstring, though there was no confirmation on whether the ailment was more severe than a cramp.
Arrieta was replaced on the mound by Justin Grimm.
