Watch: Puig reaches into stands, crashes into wall to rob HR
Kelvin Kuo / USA TODAY Sports
If you wondered why Yasiel Puig had "Wild Horse" on his Players Weekend jersey, wonder no more.
As Milwaukee Brewers slugger Domingo Santana looked to have gotten just enough of reliever Brandon Morrow's pitch in the sixth inning, the Dodgers outfielder galloped all the way to the short porch in right field, and reached into the stands to deny Santana of a home run while simultaneously crashing hard into the wall.
Puig had to take a seat on the field to regain his breath on the play, but not before the Dodger Stadium faithful gave him a rousing ovation as he and his teammates retreated into the dugout.
