San Francisco Giants left fielder Orlando Calixte unleashed what may well go down as the worst outfield throw in baseball history on Monday night in Milwaukee. After catching Hernan Perez's fly ball in left-center field, Calixte tried to throw home to nab Eric Sogard, who was tagging up at third base. Unfortunately for Calixte, who was playing in just his eighth big-league game, the throw sailed over everyone and everything.
Sogard scored easily on the errant throw, and because the ball bounced out of play, Domingo Santana - who had tagged up from second to third - was awarded home plate, giving the Brewers a rare two-run sacrifice fly.
