Judge disappointed 448-foot HR didn't travel as far as Holliday's
Aaron Judge is annihilating baseballs every time he makes contact for the New York Yankees, including the 448-foot long ball he crushed Wednesday off Chicago White Sox starter Dylan Covey.
But it wasn't enough for the young slugger who is proving to be ever the competitor with his own teammates. He wanted to one-up Matt Holliday's 459-foot home run from Monday, but came up just short, according to NJ.com's Randy Miller.
"Ah, man. I don't know! They had (Matt) Holliday's the other night at 460. I thought I beat him. But I guess not," Judge said.
It was Judge's fifth home run of the season, and his longest. He'll have to wait until next time to eclipse Holliday's blast, but you can be sure Judge will be keeping track.
"Me and Holliday were talking about it a little bit," Judge said. "He said his was at (459). I was like, 'That's pretty deep.' I thought I had him tonight."
