When retired catcher David Ross makes his debut Monday on "Dancing with the Stars," he'll pay homage to his short, but successful, career with the Chicago Cubs.
"Grandpa Rossy" will dance the quickstep with partner, and professional ballroom dancer, Lindsay Arnold to the popular Cubs theme "Go Cubs Go," according to Tracy Swartz from ABC.
The quickstep is a fast-paced number with a lot of moves, so Ross' heart rate will certainly rise as part of this routine.
"Go Cubs Go" was written by Steve Goodman in 1984 and is referred to as the official Cubs victory song.
Ross, who spent the past two years with the Cubs, retired from baseball at the end of the 2016 season after securing the second World Series title of his 15-year career. He is now a special assistant with the organization.
