Harper, Nats players in shock over Eaton trade
The Washington Nationals made a perplexing move on Wednesday, acquiring Adam Eaton from the Chicago White Sox for a king's ransom that included top prospect Lucas Giolito, among others.
It didn't take long for the 2015 National League MVP to chime in, summing up almost everyone's feelings on the trade.
Wow...

While Eaton is a terrific player coming off a great season when he led the White Sox in WAR (6.2) and slashed .284/.362/.428, Chicago general manager Rick Hahn got an astonishing return from the Nationals - Reynaldo Lopez, Dane Dunning and Giolito are all top-10 prospects.
Shortly after, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports added to the social media stir.
On other hand, one #Nationals player sent me this text: "WTF?!?!" Team still needs closer. Likely out on big two. Melancon, Davis off board.

Regardless, Eaton will join a Nationals team that will still be considered contenders despite their failed attempts at trading for Chris Sale and Andrew McCutchen, while their closer Mark Melancon left for greener pastures in San Francisco.
For his part, Harper also extended a friendly welcome to the newest member of his team - as good a start as any.
Welcome to DC A.E! Let's get it done #nationals
