Two players connected to one of the most infamous moments in World Series history are back in the spotlight.
Former New York Mets outfielder Mookie Wilson and Boston Red Sox infielder Bill Buckner are featured in a new commercial for MLB Network promoting the postseason which starts in a few weeks.
In it, the two former players "catch up" as a narrator can be heard towards the end of the commercial saying "You can’t rewrite history, but every October new history is made" referring to the 1986 World Series, when Buckner notoriously misplayed a ground ball hit by Wilson, leading to the Mets winning it all.
