Dan Haren 'declined' opportunity to pitch to Tebow
While former big-league pitcher Dan Haren is keeping busy with Pokemon GO, and supposedly looking for job opportunities, he isn't interested in helping Tim Tebow during his scheduled workout Tuesday in Los Angeles.
After a report surfaced that the retired 35-year-old right-hander would be throwing to the former NFL quarterback during a showcase in front of 15-20 MLB teams, Haren corrected the report and claimed he actually turned down the offer:
@BNightengale nope, I was offered the opportunity and declined.

The confusion may have been caused by a joke Haren had made earlier in the evening on Twitter:
Oh and memo to my agent, @bvanwagenen: Pitching to Tim Tebow tomorrow DOES NOT count as getting me a real job offer.

Tebow has received a ton of attention over the past several weeks after his agent announced his intention to pursue an MLB career.
He's already reportedly received interest from both independent and Venezuelan-league clubs, as well as praise from former major-league players Gary Sheffield and David Aardsma.
