Nationals' Tanner Roark: Bounces back for win No. 10
Roark (10-6) held the Giants to one run on four hits and three walks with three strikeouts in Thursday's 4-2 win.
Analysis:
After a five-run crash landing against the Padres his last time out, Roark got back to doing what he's done most of the year -- pitching effectively without an elite strikeout rate. In fact, if you don't count his 15-strikeout outlier back in April, Roark has only 98 strikeouts in his other 129.2 innings. But he also owns sub-3.00 ERA after this performance, so it's hard to knock Roark for the missing whiffs.
