Matt Harvey's outing against the Washington Nationals on Thursday didn't go so well, with "The Dark Knight" pitching the worst game of his big-league career.
After Harvey allowed nine runs in 2 2/3 innings and was booed off the Citi Field mound by hometown fans, Mets Twitter exploded with reactions to the dismal performance from the 27-year-old.
Following the shortest start of his career, Harvey's ERA rose to a career-worst 5.77 in a season the right-hander has been discouraged by thus far.
"It's frustrating. I think I've said it before: I'm the one who is most frustrated here about what's going on. It's been a frustrating start, but we have a long way to go," Harvey said in early May of the poor beginning to his season.
