Odor to land big bucks for Bautista punch at autograph session
Rougned Odor, the Texas Rangers' pugilistic second baseman, has already landed himself free BBQ for life for punching Jose Bautista in the face Sunday, and it appears the 22-year-old is about to start raking in some cash for his big blow, too.
When Odor signs autographs June 4 at Field of Dreams, a memorabilia shop in Frisco, fans will have to fork over an additional $40 if they want his signature on a "punch item," reports ESPN's Darren Rovell, who notes inscriptions will cost an additional $20, as well.
Item | Cost |
---|---|
Punch item | $99 |
Non-punch item | $59 |

Store owner Brett Kravitz said he expects to sell all 500 autograph tickets for the event and roughly 95 percent of attendees will want something punch-related. As for potential inscriptions? Kravitz suggested "Don't Mess With Texas" and "Bat Flip Will Get You Fat Lip" would probably be among the most popular.
Odor, who's appealing the eight-game suspension he received for Sunday's melee, said he has no regrets about clocking the Toronto Blue Jays icon - unwelcome in the Lone Star State since his epic bat flip in Game 5 of the ALDS - but noted he does respect Bautista.
