The Milwaukee Brewers look like a much different team than the one that was swept during last year's National League Championship Series.

Milwaukee beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-4 in Monday's seesaw Game 2 to take a 2-0 NLCS lead.

William Contreras went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs in the victory at American Family Field. The star catcher drove in the eventual game-winning run in the sixth inning.

Contreras is the fourth player ever with three tying or go-ahead RBI hits in a playoff game.

"Our mentality is to stay focused," Contreras said postgame through a translator to FOX's Tom Verducci. "It doesn't matter what the game state is - if we're ahead or behind - we're going to stay aggressive and stay focused."

The Brewers chased reigning World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the third after he allowed three runs with one strikeout in 2 2/3 innings. It was the shortest postseason start of his career.

"We haven’t accomplished anything yet," Christian Yelich added, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "It's a good start but we've got to keep going."

Logan Henderson allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits with two walks and two strikeouts across four innings before Milwaukee's bullpen took over. Dustin May, JoJo Romero, Abner Uribe, and Aaron Ashby didn't allow a hit or walk over five shutout frames, but struck out seven.

Milwaukee's relievers have allowed only one earned run with 26 strikeouts over 28 2/3 innings this postseason.

The Dodgers scored all their runs on a pair of sac flys and two errors, as the club's prolific offense was held to three hits. Shohei Ohtani went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts.

"They had much better at-bats than we did, top to bottom," Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

The series now shifts to L.A. for Game 3 on Wednesday. The two-time defending champions will start Blake Snell, while the Brewers are countering with Robert Gasser.
