Laid bare: 3 contracts Football Leaks should expose
There is no target too big for Football Leaks, with details about David De Gea, Gareth Bale, and Mesut Ozil among the thousands of pages of contracts and documents already published.
But there is still so much work to do. Despite attempts to shutter its website and servers in Russia, and claims that private eyes are tracking the Portuguese citizens behind the project, Football Leaks has fought to maintain its existence and has continued to deliver the information many top clubs and agents don't want the public to know.
Here are three things theScore would like to see from the whistleblower website:
Rooney's extension with Manchester United

The contract extension, signed in February 2014, reportedly handed Wayne Rooney a British-record £300,000 a week. Lasting until June 2019, the deal was both heralded as a statement of intent for a club in transition and derided as an act of desperation to satisfy an unhappy player.
But the smaller details remain unclear. The Guardian reported that Rooney had negotiated for more power in the boardroom, with special access to its spending plans. Meanwhile, The Telegraph suggested Rooney's agent, Paul Stretford, worked out an agreement with United to use its in-house sales team to find endorsements for the England international. Considering the Red Devils swung lucrative sponsorships with Chevrolet and Adidas, the availability of a world-class commercial arm makes a huge difference.
Being the club's captain and earning a premium well into his 30s, Rooney must have even more interesting clauses in his current agreement.
Neymar's true transfer fee

Neymar has barely featured in the Football Leaks database, his name restricted to innocuous sponsorship deals, letters, and licensing agreements. But the financial records of the 24-year-old forward could reveal so much more information - maybe too much - as he battles claims he evaded taxes in both Spain and Brazil.
A complaint from a Barcelona member in 2014 launched the Spanish investigation into a possible misappropriation of funds. Neymar's transfer from Santos was initially said to be worth €57.1 million, but after the member brought up the issue and demanded more clarity, Neymar's father decided to waive his confidentiality agreement, and Barcelona subsequently published the more accurate €86.2-million figure.
There are still questions as to whether the Selecao star had knowledge of his financial affairs. His father has guided him through the tricky waters of third-party ownership, and his rights are shared by several agencies. There is a lot of money tied up in the player, and Football Leaks could have its biggest day yet if it can publish some of his documents. It could also spark backlash from authorities.
Messi's contract details with Barcelona

It's widely accepted that Lionel Messi has a €250-million buyout clause in his contract with Barcelona, but the scope of his deal - and the potential obligations he may have to the club, and vice versa - is bound to be record-breaking.
He has signed improved deals with the Blaugrana, ever-evolving since his father first put pen to paper on a napkin when he was 13 years old. But there are certain privileges the world's best footballer can (and should) demand, and certain assurances Barcelona itself would want. Perhaps there is an anti-Real Madrid clause that prevents a move to the Catalans' fierce rival, or one that promises Messi a future role at the club.
Maybe there is a Ballon d'Or bonus in place - after all, United's agreement with AS Monaco for Anthony Martial stipulates that a mere nomination for the award could bring the French club even more money. Imagine what's there for the Argentine.
