Angel Correa's move from San Lorenzo to Atletico Madrid is complete.
The reigning La Liga champions announced Saturday that the 19-year-old Argentinian's transfer has finally been concluded, and his contract with the club will keep him at the Vicente Calderon until the end of the 2018-19 season.
Correa, who played a part in San Lorenzo's successful Copa Libertadores campaign earlier this year, was slated to sign with Atleti in May, but a heart condition was detected during a medical examination with the Spanish club. He subsequently underwent a successful operation in New York and began participating in group work in November.
Don't be surprised if Correa is one of Atleti's starting forwards within a season or two.
