Real Valladolid appointed Paulo Pezzolano as their coach on Tuesday as they bid to escape relegation from La Liga.
The club sacked Pacheta on Monday with the team in 16th place, one point above the relegation zone, after 27 games.
Uruguayan coach Pezzolano, 39, last coached Brazilian side Cruzeiro, leading them to promotion before leaving his post in March.
Valladolid, led by former Brazil star Ronaldo as club president, handed Pezzolano a contract until June 2024, they said in a statement.
