Two of European football's most successful clubs are set to lock horns Saturday in the Ukranian capital, and behind all the pomp and pageantry of a clash of the titans are a host of statistics in support of both sides.

Here's a look at 10 key numbers from this season's tournament that speaks to the qualities of both teams and could provide a glimpse into what to expect:

3: Real Madrid's third successive final matches the Champions League-era record shared by AC Milan and Juventus. The overall record of five also belongs to Los Blancos.

6.6: Cristiano Ronaldo's 6.6 shots-per-game is the highest mark in the competition.

7: Liverpool's 7-0 win over Slovenian minnow Maribor was the largest margin of victory in an away match in tournament history.

8: The eight assists from James Milner in the Champions League is a tournament best, while Roberto Firmino sits second on seven helpers.

15: Ronaldo's 15 goals lead all scorers in the Champions League this season, with Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Firmino joint-second on 10.
