Neymar Sr. says son in extension talks with PSG despite Real Madrid rumors
Neymar has no plans to leave Paris Saint-Germain anytime soon, according to the Brazilian star's father.
Neymar Sr., who's also his son's agent, dismissed speculation over a possible transfer to Real Madrid by revealing that Neymar is in talks to extend his stay in the French capital.
"Neymar is in the second year of his contract, so he has three more to run," he said in an interview with UOL Esporte, as translated by ESPN FC. "We are already discussing an extension with PSG.
"His name has been the subject of rumors since he was 17 - from the moment he took his first professional steps. Neymar has only experienced two transfers in his life, but he has known speculation for 10 years.
"The probability that he does not leave (PSG) is great," he continued. "People say: 'Neymar is in every transfer rumor that concerns a big club in each window.' This reflects that his career is being handled well - he is always one of the (important) names.
"However, that does not mean that he will join this club or that club."
The 27-year-old has consistently been linked with a move to Los Blancos since he left Barcelona in 2017 for a record-breaking €222-million transfer fee. The Spanish side's president, Florentino Perez, added fuel to the speculation during Zinedine Zidane's return to Real Madrid earlier this month when he expressed interest in both Neymar and French superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Florentino then asked 'Neymar or Mbappe' "I'd take them both."

Neymar, who's under contract until 2022, is currently sidelined with a broken metatarsal, which has forced him to miss PSG's last 13 matches.
Before suffering the injury in January, Neymar found the back of the net 13 times in 13 Ligue 1 appearances.
