VIDEOS: Marseille fans lash out with colourful display
Winless in seven matches and without a league victory at the Stade Velodrome since Sept. 13, Marseille fans in attendance for Sunday's tilt with Bordeaux articulated their anger with a series of organised displays.
This isn't Olympique's spirited supporter's first foray in public displays of dissent this season.
Eleven placards featuring goats are a nod to the French colloquial for a poor player, la chevre, which could apply to any number of those within Michel's ranks. The Benny Hill theme echoing through the stadium was a tribute to the comical calamity of the club's 2015-16 campaign.
The goats were paired with a less subtle set of signs targeting out-of-favour club owner Margarita Louis-Dreyfus that read, "Margarita, retourne a ton vrai metier: femme of foyer."
