Haas driver Esteban Ocon won't race for the team for the rest of the Formula 1 season, team principal Ayao Komatsu confirmed Tuesday.
Haas dropped Ocon during the Mexico City Grand Prix because of "an internal matter," Komatsu said in a statement.
Brazilian Rafael Camara, who was poised to replace Ocon next season, will now make his F1 debut in Sao Paulo this weekend.
Reports emerged that Ocon got into a dispute with Komatsu that may have gotten physical.
Ocon said on social media that "a difference in viewpoints led to a discussion with the parties involved."
Ocon also had a dispute with race engineer Laura Mueller over tire selection during last week's practice session.
