Stroll was forced to retire after five laps of the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Analysis:
Stroll had a brief bit of optimism Saturday, when he managed to out-qualify teammate Fernando Alonso for the first time this season. However, he lost the ability to shift into third and fourth gears after only a handful of laps, forcing him to retire from the race. Stroll has yet to record a point this season and has retired from four of the seven races.
