Alonso was forced to retire after 37 laps from the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix F1 race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday.
Analysis:
Alonso was coming off his first points of the season at Monaco, though things fell apart quickly at his home race. He was surprisingly out-qualified by teammate Lance Stroll and ultimately started from the pit lane. Alonso went on to run in relative anonymity until his engine failed, continuing what has been a disastrous season.
