Alvaro Morata has been cleared to play in Atletico Madrid's league visit from Celta Vigo on Saturday, the club announced.

The Spanish marksman hasn't featured for Diego Simeone's side since he played the full 90 minutes at Leganes on Aug. 25. He was then sidelined with a moderate knee sprain before completing Friday's training session with his teammates.

Morata headed home a Kieran Trippier cross against Getafe in his first competitive outing of the season before being ruled out with injury days after the Leganes tilt. In his three-match absence, attacking responsibilities have been left to Diego Costa, Thomas Lemar, and Portuguese sensation Joao Felix; Felix was the only one to score over those three contests.

Morata, 26, also missed Spain's Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania and the Faroe Islands.

Atletico Madrid sit second in La Liga ahead of their clash with Celta Vigo.
