Barcelona have reportedly found the goalscorer to eventually replace veteran striker Luis Suarez.

And that man is Luka Jovic, with the Guardian's Fabrizio Romano reporting that the Catalan colossus are preparing a €50-million bid for the Eintracht Frankfurt star in hopes of kicking off negotiations in the next few weeks.

Jovic, 21, is on a two-year loan with the German side from Benfica, though an agreement is already in place to make his terms permanent at the end of this season. Eintracht want a transfer fee of around €65 million or €70 million if the four-time capped Serbian international leaves in the summer, according to Romano.

Jovic has been a revelation in his second Bundesliga season, pairing 15 league goals with seven in the Europa League as part of a lethal front-three alongside Sebastien Haller and Ante Rebic.

A move for the youngster would be consistent with Barcelona's attempts to replenish an aging squad. The club secured prodigious €75-million midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Ajax and Jean Clair Todibo from Toulouse in the January window, and has been strongly linked with a free transfer for 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain wantaway Adrien Rabiot.
