Mum's the word for France star Antoine Griezmann.

The Atletico Madrid forward announced Tuesday he's made a decision on his future, though he refused to clarify amid reports linking him with a move away from the Spanish capital.

Griezmann spoke to reporters in Russia after confirming last week a decision would be made prior to France's group opener against Australia on Saturday.

"I apologise - I am really very sorry. I know that many of you were waiting for (my decision), but I will not be revealing it today. I have made my choice," he said, according to Dermot Corrigan of ESPN FC.

"However, today is not the time, nor the place, to say what it is."

Griezmann, 27, has eight years remaining on his current deal with Atleti, with reports suggesting Barcelona is primed for a July 1 move for the 29-goal man when his release clause drops to €100 million. The capital club filed a complaint with FIFA in December over Barca's approach of Griezmann.

The 54-time-capped Les Bleus standout was linked with a move to Manchester United, and talk of a potential exit has been boosted by rumours of Atleti's interest in Monaco's dynamic attacker Thomas Lemar.
