Surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, Argentine centre-back Federico Fazio has joined Sevilla from Tottenham on loan until the end of the season.
With only one League Cup appearance under his belt this season, Fazio, 28, rejoins the club he was with from 2007 to 2014, where he appeared in 148 fixtures for Los Rojiblancos before joining Spurs.
"The defender returns to the team he joined us from in the summer of 2014 having made 32 appearances in our colours to date," a statement of Tottenham's website read.

The move may be met with some surprise from Spurs supporters, as first-choice centre-back and club cornerstone Jan Vertonghen faces an extended spell on the sidelines with knee ligament damage, giving summer signing Kevin Wimmer a chance at first-team football.
