Brentford's Jota joins Eibar on 18-month loan
Brentford has sent Jota on a long-term loan to Eibar, allowing the midfielder to overcome some personal issues in his native northern Spain.
The 24-year-old will remain in the Basque Country for 18 months and returns to Eibar following an impressive loan spell there from Celta two seasons ago.
Jota wrote a statement to the Championship outfit thanking it for its understanding of his situation while also confirming that he has signed a contract extension at Griffin Park that would see him return for the 2017-18 campaign.
Thank you to my family in @BrentfordFC. Always in my heart. Come on you bees! pic.twitter.com/kcoj3zYeWJ

Jota missed two matches for the Bees last term but had just one start under his belt so far in 2015-16. His signing should offer competition for Saul Berjon, Adrian, and Takashi Inui in the Eibar lineup.
