Report: Mesut Ozil poised to sign extension at Arsenal
On the heels of a standout start to the Premier League season, reports suggest Arsenal's star playmaker Mesut Ozil is set to sign a contract extension at the Emirates.
Ozil, who has tallied a league-best ten assists in 12 league matches, has 2 1/2 years remaining on his current deal, though the north London club are looking to tie down the German international with a long-term deal, according to Mark Rodden from ESPN FC.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to secure his marquee stars before they enter the final two years of their deals, with Ozil's contract talks following extensions for Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla.
In addition, the club has already begun contract discussions with superlative midfielder Alexis Sanchez, reports ESPNFC's Peter O'Rourke.
