Report: Skrtel, Ibe set for contract extensions at Liverpool
Martin Skrtel and Jordon Ibe look set to extend their stays at Anfield, as Sky Sports reports that the two men are on the verge of signing contract extensions with Liverpool.
The defender, 30, is set to see his current deal expire next season, while the teenage winger is tied to the club until only 2017.
Skrtel has been linked with a move to various clubs of late, but the report also quotes his "intermediary" Karol Csonto as denying any rumors of a potential move away from the Reds for the Slovakian.
"The only offer which is lying on Martin Skrtel’s table right now is the extension of his contract from Liverpool," he is quoted as saying, in response to a query about reported interest from Wolfsburg.
"We have been working on the details, and we will be finalising it soon. It is not true that he has some offer from the German club. I don’t know anything even about their interest."
Ibe, meanwhile, has showed promise since returning to the club in January from a loan spell with Derby, making eight appearances for Brendan Rodgers and showing that he has the potential to be a very viable attacking option out on the wing.

At just 19, Ibe looks set to be a fixture of the club for many years to come, and it would clearly behoove Liverpool to lock him up to a long-term deal.
