Colombian striker James Rodriguez, the breakout star of the World Cup, says he would welcome a transfer from Ligue 1's Monaco to a club in La Liga, but doesn't wish to join the Premier League at this stage of his career because of the rough nature of play in England.
"I’ve said in the past that I’d like to play in Spain one day, because it is a league that is good technically, and where you get a lot of touches on the ball, which is my style," the 22-year-old said via The Guardian.
He added: "The Premier League is maybe a bit physical at this stage."
Rodriguez went on to say he's focused on Colombia's World Cup campaign and not concentrating on anything other than the task ahead of him in Brazil.
