Aston Villa star Jack Grealish has earned his first call-up to the England senior squad.

Grealish's maiden addition to Gareth Southgate's Three Lions squad comes after Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford and Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks withdrew for undisclosed reasons.

Rashford has been bothered by an ankle concern since the end of the domestic campaign, and on Monday tweeted: "Gutted. Never want to let this team down but these fixtures just came a little too soon for me."

Southgate now has a roster of 24 players for a pair of upcoming Nations League matches against Iceland and Denmark. Wolverhampton's Conor Coady and Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles received their first call-ups to the England team Saturday.

Grealish, 24, has previously featured for the Republic of Ireland at three youth levels, and with England's Under-21 side under Southgate.

England will visit Reykjavik to face Iceland on Sept. 5 before a trip to Copenhagen for a clash with Denmark on Sept. 8.
