Leeds United removed an image of former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden from their Elland Road stadium after it was discovered prior to the club's match against Fulham on Saturday.

The Championship club says it will "ensure there are no more offensive images" in the stadium moving forward, according to BBC Sport.

As spectators are not permitted to attend matches due to coronavirus restrictions, Leeds have campaigned for supporters to submit pictures of themselves to be displayed on seats at Elland Road.

Supporters are required to pay £25 to display their pictures. Leeds announced earlier in June that 15,000 "Crowdies" will be in place for their last five home matches.
