Report: Everton closing in on £7M Onyekuru coup
Everton is nearing a £7-million deal for KAS Eupen's 20-year-old striker Henry Onyekuru, according to BBC Sport's Phil McNulty.
It's believed the Nigerian - who scored 22 goals in the top flight of Belgian football last season - will then move just over 90 miles down the road from Eupen to continue his development on loan at Anderlecht.
Reports at the end of May stated Arsenal agreed to a £6.8-million fee for Onyekuru, but nothing materialised from these accounts despite the hitman apparently being an "avid" Gunners supporter.
Instead, McNulty understands Onyekuru was with Everton on Monday undergoing a medical after being picked out by manager Ronald Koeman and talent-spotter Steve Walsh as an exciting prospect.
The Toffees are also expected to announce the signing of Sandro Ramirez soon. Everton will exercise the Malaga forward's £5.2-million release clause, but his unveiling is delayed by his participation in the European Under-21 Championship with Spain. The youngsters from the Iberian peninsula take on Italy in Tuesday's semi-finals.
Moves for Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen have already been completed by nouveau riche Everton this summer, and pursuits for Swansea City's Gylfi Sigurdsson and Burnley's Michael Keane are now expected to gather momentum.
Keane's teammate at Turf Moor, striker Andre Gray, is also under consideration for a transfer which would cost around £10 million.
