DF - Robert Huth
Suspended for Tuesday's Champions League second leg with Atletico Madrid, Robert Huth left it all out on the Selhurst Park pitch Saturday against Crystal Palace, pairing a sixth-minute goal with several key tackles while dealing with the constant aerial threat of Eagles striker Christian Benteke.
DF - Phil Jagielka
The England international's third goal in three matches after the interval set the tone in a 3-1 win over Burnley Saturday as Phil Jagielka was influential at both ends of the pitch with three successful aerial duels and a pair of timely tackles.
DF - Vincent Kompany
Regardless of how well he played Saturday at Southampton, it was a delight to see Vincent Kompany playing pain-free football. Doesn't hurt that Manchester City's skipper played the full 90 minutes and scored his first goal since August 2015.
DF - Jan Vertonghen
There's a reason Spurs have conceded a league-fewest 22 goals in 32 outings, and Jan Vertonghen and Belgium teammate Toby Alderweireld have played a pivotal role. On Saturday against Bournemouth, Vertonghen was tidy at the back, completing 93 percent of his passes with four aerial duels won and a tackle that snuffed out a Cherries attack.
MF - Kevin De Bruyne
Kevin De Bruyne's two assists Saturday gave the former Wolfsburg star a Premier League-best 13, but perhaps equally as impressive was the Belgian's five successful tackles that helped nullify Southampton's typically potent left side of Ryan Bertrand and Nathan Redmond.
MF - Ander Herrera
If there's one primary reason that Chelsea resembled an Isthmian League side Sunday at Manchester United it's because Ander Herrera completely smothered PFA Player of the Year front-runner Eden Hazard. Metrics won't do the Spaniard justice, but he was the best player on the pitch, full stop. Oh ya, he scored as well.
MF - Christian Eriksen
A half-dozen Tottenham players could have made this team including Heung-Min Son, who played opposite Christian Eriksen on the left, but it's the Dane who makes the cut for his 12th assist and a calm performance that featured six attempts and some standout work with Kyle Walker down the flank.
FW - Xherdan Shaqiri
One assist, one goal, and a display reminiscent of the reason why Stoke City splashed £12 million on the Swiss international is enough for Xherdan Shaqiri to make Team of the Week amid a mercurial season rife with injuries.
FW - Harry Kane
Preposterous to think that some pundits thought Harry Kane was a one-year wonder. His goal against Bournemouth was his 20th of the season, placing him on a pedestal with Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer, and Ruud van Nistlerooy as the only players to bag 20 goals three seasons on the trot in Premier League history.
FW - Roberto Firmino
With Sadio Mane done for the year, Roberto Firmino has filled the Senegalese international's spot on the right side of Liverpool's three-prong attack, and against West Brom on Sunday the Brazilian international was the difference, scoring the match's only goal with five successful dribbles and two tackles to boot.
