Look: Wales taking the mick with team photo hijinks
Like the one primary school prankster whose clownish behaviour marred many a class photo, the Welsh national football team has developed its own version of snapshot tomfoolery.
With national hero Gareth Bale playing the role of ringleader, the Dragons have been gradually putting their own imprint on pre-match photos.
Here's a look at the progression of photo goofiness from Wales:
Euro 2016 Semi-Final, Paris: July 10, 2016
A conventional team photo, with five players squatting in front of of the other five outfield players and shot-stopper Wayne Hennessey. Nothing to see here.
World Cup qualifier vs. Austria, Vienna: Oct. 6, 2016
The six-man back row has become four, as Sam Vokes, Ashley Williams, James Chester, and Hennessey have stayed put, while Joe Ledley now squats in the front adjacent to a noticeably grinning Bale. James Collins has been replaced in the squad by fellow Premier League afterthought Ben Davies, who is between Neil Taylor and Andy King. Looks bizarre.
World Cup qualifier vs. Georgia, Cardiff: Oct. 9, 2016
Bookending Hennessey again are Williams and Vokes again, and the joke is on us. Bale can barely hide his cheer. Say cheese.
