Mark Hughes is continuing to build for Stoke City's future with the signing of 19-year-old Ryan Sweeney from League One's AFC Wimbledon.
The defender penned a three-year contract with the Potters after the Premier League outfit confirmed an agreement was in place between the two parties on Thursday. The fee is undisclosed, although earlier reports suggested it's in the region of £250,000.
Sweeney joins fellow young talent Ramadan Sobhi to the Bet365 Stadium, with Joe Allen also moving to Stoke for a reported £13 million.
The centre-back made 13 appearances for the Dons last season, helping Neal Ardley's side to promotion from the fourth tier via the play-offs.
