QPR's Kenneth Paal equalised deep into stoppage-time to salvage a 1-1 draw against Championship relegation rivals Huddersfield at Loftus Road on Sunday.
Jack Rudoni's 86th-minute goal put Huddersfield on the brink of three vital points against third bottom QPR in the battle to avoid dropping into League One.
But Ilias Chair's right-wing cross was kneed into the top corner of the net by left-back Paal in the final stages to rescue QPR.
A win would have taken QPR out of the relegation zone, where they have been since September, and leapfrogged Huddersfield.
Instead, the draw means the gap between fourth bottom Huddersfield and the west Londoners remains at three points.
