League Cup 4th-round draw: City get Liverpool, United face Kompany's Burnley

Manchester City and Liverpool were pitted against one another during Thursday's draw for the fourth round of the League Cup.

Manchester United were rewarded with a visit from Vincent Kompany's Burnley after emerging from an eventful third round, while Gillingham - who, in 22nd place of League Two, are the lowest-ranked team left in the competition - will travel to Premier League strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United are set to welcome Bournemouth to St. James' Park.
