Report: Southampton's Hojbjerg choosing Tottenham over Everton
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is expected to ink personal terms and join Tottenham Hotspur in the coming days after Southampton agreed to sell the midfielder for £15 million, according to The Guardian's Fabrizio Romano.
The Saints' valuation is significantly lower than the £25 million that Everton were willing to pay last month, as reported by several English outlets. The Toffees have lodged a bid on this occasion, according to Romano, but Hojbjerg has snubbed their approach and decided to link up with Jose Mourinho in north London instead.
Hojbjerg, 24, has one year remaining on his Southampton contract and could replace Tanguy Ndombele at Tottenham. The Frenchman is drawing interest from Inter Milan, although that situation could change if manager Antonio Conte leaves the Italian club.
Southampton are expecting to sign Kyle Walker-Peters from the Spurs on a full-time basis, in a separate deal from the Hojbjerg transaction. The Tottenham right-back is a hit at St. Mary's since arriving on loan in January and will likely cost Ralph Hasenhuttl's outfit £12 million.
