Report: United want Everton's Gueye to replace PSG-bound Herrera
Manchester United are preparing for Ander Herrera's purported move to Paris Saint-Germain by targeting a player previously linked with a switch to the French behemoths.
Everton ball-stopper Idrissa Gueye has reportedly become a leading candidate to replace Herrera at Old Trafford, according to the Evening Standard's James Robson.
It's understood that the Senegalese international could be available in the summer for less than £30 million, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to make a slew of changes ahead of his first official season in charge.
Gueye, 29, was linked with a reported £26-million move to PSG in January, which Everton blocked. Herrera's impending switch to the runaway Ligue 1 leaders would effectively end their interest in Gueye.
Herrera, whose current United terms lapse in the summer, is understood to be at an impasse over reported £200,000-a-week wage demands, prompting talk of a free transfer to PSG.
