Weeks after video of a training ground argument between Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba surfaced, Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has confirmed reports that the beef stems from the Frenchman's social media.

Reports suggested that Mourinho was incensed by Pogba's Instagram post during United's League Cup dismissal on penalties to Derby County in September, something Pereira verified in a conversation with Brazilian outlet UOL.

"It was in a cup game. Pogba posted the video before and there was me and left-back Luke Shaw laughing," Pereira said, translation per Sky Sports. "We were winning the game 1-0 at the time of the video. Then we lost the game, and people said that Pogba posted later. But he posted before."

"The manager thought that Pogba had posted later. He asked him why that happened. There was a mood about it," Pereira added.

The day prior to the training ground disagreement, Mourinho stripped Pogba of his vice-captaincy duties.

Wobbly Wi-Fi at the Theatre of Dreams may be to blame for the latest quarrel between the pair, which has prompted reports of dressing room unrest and Pogba's interest in a move to Barcelona.
