Lucas Perez appears to be staying put in the English capital.
West Ham are reportedly set to offer the Arsenal forward a Premier League lifeline, according to BBC Sport's Simon Stone, who added that manager Manuel Pellegrini is close to a move for the Spaniard.
Injuries to Andy Carroll and Michail Antonio have left a void up top, with just Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic available in advance positions ahead of West Ham's league opener against Liverpool on Sunday.
Perez, 29, spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna after joining the north London lot in 2016 for a £17.1-million fee. With his hometown Galicians, Perez managed to tally eight goals and a half-dozen assists in 35 La Liga outings. He managed just one goal during the 2016-17 league campaign with the Gunners.
It's been a busy summer shopping spree for West Ham, with the east London side splashing in the neighborhood of £85 million on Felipe Anderson, Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko, Lukasz Fabianski, and Fabian Balbuena. Jack Wilshere and Ryan Fredericks have also joined the club on free transfers.
