Manchester City signed Ederson Moraes to a new contract on Sunday, keeping the Brazilian goalkeeper at the club until 2025.
Ederson's previous six-year deal, inked just last summer, was set to expire in 2022.
"It means that the club is happy with my work," Ederson said in an interview with CityTV. "They trust me, and I hope to meet their expectations on the pitch and bring a lot of joy to the fans."
Ederson fared well in his debut season in England under Pep Guardiola, recording 16 clean sheets in the Premier League to help his side secure the title with a record 100 points. He also played a significant role in City's massive goal differential (79) as the club conceded a league-best 27 goals in 38 matches.
The 24-year-old joined City from Portuguese side Benfica in a €40-million transfer.
