Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar reportedly declared his desire to leave the capital city side after meeting with club sporting director Leonardo on Monday.

The wantaway Brazilian made his intentions known upon returning to first-team duties with the Ligue 1 holders, according to a report from ESPN FC's Julien Laurens and Jonathan Johnson.

Neymar has been linked with a blockbuster return to Barcelona, a move that Leonardo appeared to support when he said the 27-year-old "can leave PSG if there is an offer made that suits everybody."

The Sao Paulo-born juggler is just two years removed from a record-smashing €222-million switch from the Camp Nou to the Parc des Princes.

The oft-injured talent was expected to return to first-team activities last Monday, prompting PSG to announce that "the club regrets this situation and will, therefore, take appropriate action."

Barcelona have yet to table a formal offer for Neymar, and after splashing a combined €200 million on Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong, it's likely the Catalan side would need to send a package of players in return to abide by Financial Fair Play regulations. Griezmann's arrival has led to speculation of potential exits for Philippe Coutinho and Malcom.
