Watch: Manuel Neuer saves late penalty attempt in heroic fashion
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was, once again, the hero at the Allianz Arena - at least for a moment - as his side faced a dire penalty situation that threatened to eliminate it from the Champions League semi-final.
Atletico Madrid forward Fernando Torres drew the penalty despite looking to be fouled outside the box, then stepped up and struck with purpose and power. Neuer was savvy to the shot, though, palming the ball out with an equal measure of force.
It was, at most, a lifeline; Atletico, holding an away-goal advantage in the 2-2 aggregate draw, would advance regardless if the scoreline held. But, as it stands, Bayern retains hope, with five minutes remaining in the match.
And, to be fair to Atleti 'keeper Jan Oblak, his save on Thomas Muller's penalty was just as pretty.
