Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford, a loyal sports fan, was remembered by the Toronto sports community after he died Tuesday morning at age 46.
Some Toronto athletes expressed their sympathies, including Blue Jays outfielder Dalton Pompey and NBA point guard Tyler Ennis - both Toronto-area natives - as well as Toronto Argonauts defensive back Matt Black.
Ford was well-known for his love of sports, particularly football and the Argonauts, and was regularly seen in the stands supporting his city's franchises. He was also named to the Hockey Hall of Fame's board of directors last April.
