BC Lions president Rick LeLacheur said Tuesday that team owner David Braley told him at the beginning of the year that he was ready to sell the CFL franchise, according to Matthew Sekeres of TSN 1040.

LeLacheur added he's been tasked with finding a buyer and that he plans for the process to be "under the radar."

LeLacheur said there isn't a timetable for a sale but "the sooner the better."

The Lions currently sit last in the West Division at 1-8 and are in the midst of a five-game losing streak.
