Bayern Munich added another Manchester City player to their winter shopping list.
A day after being linked with a move for Leroy Sane, Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in signing defender Joao Cancelo during the January transfer window, according to Christian Falk of Bild.
Cancelo, who is fresh off scoring his first goal for City during Wednesday's 3-1 victory over Oxford United in the League Cup, joined the reigning Premier League champions last summer from Juventus in a transfer that reportedly cost £27.4 million, plus Brazilian defender Danilo.
Despite appearing in all of City's group stage games in the Champions League, the 25-year-old right-back has struggled for regular playing time under Pep Guardiola and has appeared in just six of the team's 17 Premier League matches this season.
Cancelo isn't the only right-back Bayern are considering; Falk adds the defending Bundesliga champions could also pursue AS Monaco defender Benjamin Henrichs during the winter signing period. A move for the 22-year-old could cost Bayern €30 million.
Bayern's need for a right-back stems from the possible repositioning of Benjamin Pavard, who the German club has viewed as an apparent replacement for Jerome Boateng if the center-back departs in January, according to German outlet Kicker.
On Wednesday, Falk reported that Sane was eager to leave City in January and force a move to Bayern Munich. Bayern has yet to decide whether to submit an offer for the German winger next month or wait until next summer.
