It wasn't exactly tiki-taka by Pep Guardiola's Manchester City, but Thursday's opener against Borussia Dortmund was a display of penetrative and cohesive passing that's sure to delight its fans.
Sergio Aguero, reporting to duty for the first time since Argentina's Copa America Centenario final disappointment, was the beneficiary of some fine work from Angelino, David Silva, Aleix Garcia, and Silva again, giving City a 1-0 lead after 79 minutes.
