Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could put his title on the line against mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte on April 23 in the United Kingdom, sources told Mike Coppinger of ESPN.

Promoter Frank Warren won the right to the bout Friday following a bid worth more than $41 million, according to Coppinger. Rival promoter Eddie Hearn missed out at just over $32 million.

Fury is entitled to $32.8 million for the fight, while Whyte gets $8.2 million. The match will be Fury's first in the U.K. since August 2018. The British champ couldn't hide his emotions about fighting at home after the news broke:

The 33-year-old Fury (31-0-1, 22 KOs) last fought in October when he defeated Deontay Wilder. Meanwhile, Whyte (28-2, 19 KOs) beat Alexander Povetkin in March 2021.
